Most approaches to healthy living dwell on diet: calories, carbohydrates, fats, and proteins, usually involving restrictions and feelings of deprivation. Sure, what you eat is really important. Instead of creating lists of restrictions and good and bad foods, I coach my clients to explore basic improvements and implement gradual changes and supportive habits during our work together. Instead of taking away your favorite foods, you will find NEW favorites, and learn how easy healthy eating can be. Many of my clients also find these new habits help them to save money in their food budget!
As your Integrative Health* Coach I act as a supportive mentor and guide on your journey to your best life. We work together to help you define your health and wellness goals, and take the journey to wellness together, step by step. My philosophy of bio-individuality means you and every other client has a customized program designed by and for YOU. No crazy restrictive dieting or shelves filled with supplements, or 6am running on the treadmill - unless you really thrive on that kind of stuff!
Equally important, together we look at what Integrative Nutrition* calls your Primary Food. Career, relationships, hobbies, spirit, mission. You can eat all the broccoli in the world and if you don't get these right your life will just feel off. Get more vibrancy by balancing all aspects of your life!
I am a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition where I am learned innovative coaching methods, practical lifestyle management techniques, and over 100 dietary theories – Ayurveda, gluten-free, Paleo, raw, vegan, macrobiotics, and everything in between. I also learned about the importance of looking a my clients holistically, and guiding them to a well-rounded life of joy and vibrance.
I received my certification as a High Performance CoachTM through the High Performance Institute in 2016.
In my "First Act", I was a CPA supporting my employer's financial accounting and reporting team, and eventually transitioned into Human Resources, managing the global retirement programs, and educated employees about healthcare benefits in addition to maximizing their retirement benefits. In this role, I became aware of the desperate need for people to understand not just how their health insurance works, but how their bodies work, and actions they can take so they don't need to USE their health insurance, and this ignited my passion to teach and guide people to find this understanding.
I am a life-long student of psychology, personal development and health. Over much of the past 3 decades, I have studied and experimented in my own life with diet and nutrition, and have informally studied health, wellness, relationships, exercise, personal finance and spiritual practices in addition to my more recent formal training.
